Websites for Trades & Contractors

If you run a trade — plumbing, electrical, painting, welding, carpentry, HVAC, concrete, roofing — your website has exactly one job: make the phone ring.

We build websites for trades and contractors across Central Alberta that do that job. Your number tappable at the top, a page for every service, photos of real work, and the reviews that carry the sale — built, hosted, and looked after so you never have to think about it.

The four rules of a trade website

Most trade websites get all four wrong.

Your phone number is the whole point. Someone with a burst pipe at 9pm isn't reading your mission statement — they're looking for a number that dials when they tap it. It goes at the top of every page, big, and it works.

Say where you work, in writing. "Serving Red Deer, Blackfalds, Lacombe, Sylvan Lake and surrounding area" — on the page and matching your Google listing exactly. Search engines can't guess your service area, and neither can customers.

Real job photos beat everything. A gallery of finished work — even phone photos — converts better than any paragraph a copywriter could produce. It's proof, and proof is what wins trade work.

Reviews close the sale. Most customers pick from two or three finalists based on reviews. Part of the site's job is making it effortless for a happy customer to leave one.

What we build for trades

  • A home page that says what you do and where, with the number tappable at the top
  • A page for each service — furnace repair, panel upgrades, interior painting — because that's what people actually search
  • A photo gallery of real jobs, organized so it's easy to keep adding to
  • A page about you with a real photo — people want to know who's showing up at their door
  • Quote and contact forms that reach you instantly, with spam filtered out
  • Help with your Google Business Profile — categories, service area, and hours matching the site exactly

We built A Couple of Painters — a Red Deer painting company — on exactly these principles, and it's live right now if you want to see the approach.

What it costs

Most trade websites land between $1,000 and $4,000 to design and build, plus a hosting & care plan from $179/month — hosting, security, updates, backups, and someone to call. Fixed quote before any work starts, and if what you need is smaller than what you asked for, we'll say so.

Questions we hear a lot

What does a trade website cost?

Most land between $1,000 and $4,000 to design and build, plus a hosting & care plan from $179/month — hosting, security, updates, backups, and someone to call. Fixed quote before work starts.

How long does it take?

Two to four weeks for a typical trade site, and most of that is waiting on photos and service details. Have those ready and it moves fast.

We're not a computer person. Is that a problem?

Not even slightly. We handle the domain, hosting, email, security, and updates. You'll get a login and a walkthrough of the couple of things worth changing yourself. Small tweaks are part of the care plan; bigger changes get a quick quote first.

What photos do we need?

Phone photos of real, finished jobs — before-and-afters if you have them. They don't need to be fancy; they need to be yours. We'll tell you exactly what to shoot and how many.

Will we actually show up on Google?

The structure gives you the best shot: a page per service, your service area stated explicitly, structured data, and help getting your Google Business Profile matched to the site. Local rankings build over months, not days — anyone promising faster is selling something. Reviews accelerate it more than anything else you can do.
