This Privacy Policy describes how McQueen Digital (McQueen Digital (sole proprietorship), “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal information when you visit mcqueendigital.ca (the “Site”) or contact us through the Site. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
1. Who we are
The Site is operated by McQueen Digital (sole proprietorship), based in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. Questions about this policy or your personal information can be directed to our Privacy Officer at [email protected].
2. What information we collect
We collect personal information only when you provide it voluntarily — primarily through our contact form. This may include:
- Your name, email address, and phone number;
- Your business or organization name;
- Your current website URL (if provided);
- The service you’re interested in and the content of your message;
- Technical information automatically logged by our infrastructure, such as a one-way hash of your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, and the pages you visit on our Site.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request;
- Send you information about our products, pricing, and updates when you have expressly asked us to;
- Monitor and improve the Site’s performance, reliability, and security;
- Meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those disclosed here without first obtaining your consent.
4. Cookies and analytics
Our Site is delivered through Cloudflare, which uses cookies and similar technologies for security, bot mitigation (Cloudflare Turnstile), and performance optimization. You can review Cloudflare’s privacy practices at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
If we enable Google Analytics on the Site, it will use cookies to collect aggregated, anonymized information about how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, session duration, country-level location). Google Analytics is governed by Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable cookies, some features of the Site may not function as intended.
5. Disclosure to third parties
We may share limited personal information with service providers who support our operations, including:
- Cloudflare Inc. (web delivery, bot protection) — United States;
- Our hosting provider (site hosting, backups);
- Email delivery services (to transmit form submissions to us);
- Google LLC (Google Analytics, if enabled).
These providers are contractually bound to use your information only for the purposes for which we engaged them. Some service providers are located outside Canada; as a result, your personal information may be processed and stored in other jurisdictions and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
6. CREA and MLS® data
This marketing Site does not display MLS® listing data. Client websites built with our PropertyConnector plugin suite may display MLS® data sourced from The Canadian Real Estate Association’s Data Distribution Facility (CREA DDF®). That data is governed by CREA’s rules and the privacy policy of the individual client site, not this Policy.
7. Retention
We retain contact form submissions for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain records of our communications — typically up to 24 months. Log data is retained for a shorter period, typically 30 to 90 days, unless required longer for security investigations.
8. Your rights
Under PIPEDA and Alberta’s PIPA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions;
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), bot protection on form submissions, and limited access to submission records. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent changes. Material changes will be noted prominently on the Site.
